Solution: Go to the mobile app at
Menu/Settings/Advanced_Settings/Pyrk Nodes
and Use the button for manual mode and add the IP:port
from https://explorer.pyrk.org/node-status
Network Info/Local Addresses.

Now it should finally sync and be ready for you to use.
